Megan Erke, DDS

Dr. Megan Erke was born and raised in Seattle, WA. She attended the University of Washington for her undergraduate degree where she earned a BS in Molecular Biology and minored in Chemistry. After college, Dr. Erke moved to Los Angeles for dental school, graduating in 2009 from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California as a Doctor of Dental Surgery. After Dental School, Dr. Erke migrated east to New York City for a one-year General Practice Residency at Interfaith Medical Center. She practiced in New York until 2013, when she was happy to return to Seattle to be closer to family.

Dr. Erke avidly pursues opportunities for continuing education. She is a member of the ADA, the American, Washington State, and King County Dental Associations. Megan is a member of three study clubs, has taken classes at the Speare Institute, and is Bioclear certified. She is also affiliate faculty at the UW School of Dentistry.

In her free time, Dr. Erke enjoys traveling, cooking, baking and spending time with her children, Ethan and Evan. She loves being outdoors, downhill skiing in the winter, and maintaining her garden in the spring and summer months.

Trena Carpenter, DDS

Dr. Trena Carpenter grew up in Boise, ID and attended college at the University of Idaho. She graduated from the University of Washington School of Dentistry in 2003 and moved to Spokane where she worked at a pediatric office. Although Dr. Carpenter decided not to specialize in pediatric dentistry, she learned a lot about treating children, which she enjoyed immensely. Dr. Carpenter then moved to Tucson, Arizona for five years while her husband completed his medical residency. In Tucson, Dr. Carpenter practiced in a cosmetic dental office where she had the opportunity to be mentored and hone her knowledge. In 2010 Dr. Carpenter and her family were thrilled to move back home to the Pacific Northwest.  In 2012, Dr. Carpenter was fortunate to join Springbrook Dental.   

Dr. Carpenter has a strong commitment to continuing dental education. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Washington State Dental Association, and the King County Dental Association. Trena is also a member of three study clubs, has taken classes at the Spear Institute, and is Invisalign certified.

Dr. Carpenter and her husband, John, are happy to be living in the Seattle area and stay busy raising their two boys. They enjoy the Northwest's beauty through hiking, skiing, water sports, and camping. Dr. Carpenter also is active in donating dental services to the underserved through mission trips and other non-profit organizations. Dr. Carpenter is passionate about practicing dentistry and views each day as an opportunity to develop new friendships and provide excellent care for her patients.

Melissa Cahoon, DDS

Dr. Melissa Cahoon is originally from Bellingham, WA. She attended the University of Washington where she completed her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Communications. After undergrad, she continued her education at the University of Washington School of Dentistry, where she received awards in the areas of operative and implant dentistry. Following completion of her dental degree, Dr. Cahoon completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency in Yakima, WA, where she received extensive training in the areas of pediatric dentistry and the management of difficult general dentistry cases. She has since been a practicing general dentist in the Greater Seattle area for several years.

Dr. Cahoon is a member of multiple study clubs and is dedicated to staying up to date with new treatments and technologies in the dental profession.  She also serves as an affiliate faculty member at the University of Washington School of Dentistry, where she enjoys helping the future generation of dentists improve their skills. 

​

Dr. Cahoon is dedicated to giving back to the community and regularly provides dental care for underserved populations. She has volunteered at the Seattle Union Gospel Mission Dental Clinic, as well as the Key Arena Clinic. She has also traveled to Jamaica twice as a dentist volunteer.

​

Dr. Cahoon lives in Seattle with her husband, Aaron, and newborn daughter, Charlotte. She enjoys cooking, running, Pilates, fashion, and travel.  Additionally, she loves interior design and has received educational training from The New School, Parson’s School of Design in New York.

Dr. Cahoon enjoys the interactive aspect of dentistry and the ability to form long-term relationships with patients and their families.  She is known for her warm bedside manner and high quality, personalized care.  She chose to join Dr’s Erke and Carpenter at Springbrook Dental due to their impressive skillsets and clinical philosophies, which align well with her own. She looks forward to caring for patients and helping them reach their oral health goals at Springbrook Dental!
