Digital X-rays

Digital X-rays allow us to take images of teeth and place them in an imaging program. Within the imaging program there are a number of tools that allow the dentist and hygienist to look closely at teeth and the surrounding structures with incredible accuracy. The patient also benefits, as digital X-rays emit 80% less radiation than standard X-rays.

Itero-Digital Scanner

Itero is a digital scanning system that creates a 3-D model in which crown, bridges, night guards, Invisalign liners, and retainers can be made. Instead of using a traditional impression, Itero uses a camera which takes images from different angles. These images are then synthesized to create a model with maximum precision. Itero is more accurate than traditional impressions, and, most importantly, patients agree that it is more comfortable! No more goop!

Acteon Digital Intra-oral Camera

This cutting edge camera has a LED light and a high definition, high-resolution sensor for pictures with impeccable quality and clarity. It is an amazing diagnostic tool for viewing different angles in the mouth that are not easily seen or highlighted with mirrors or traditional cameras. The camera helps us get a closer look at any potential issues and allows our patients to see what we see. These digital images are also excellent for gaining procedure acceptance from insurance companies, resulting in better coverage for our patients.

Panorex Film

This is a larger digital X-ray that includes the all the teeth, sinus, condylar joint and the whole mandible.  We now have the Plan Meca 3D scan which has the lowest radiation of panorex machines on the market.  The Plan Meca 3D can also take other types of extra-oral Xrays for patients that gag easily.

Zoom Whitening

Zoom WhiteSpeed uses the most advanced LED light technology to get teeth to their whitest shade. Once we assess that we can move forward, we will digitally scan your teeth for custom trays and provide you with a fluoride toothpaste for daily home use over the following two weeks prior to treatment.  On the day of your appointment, there will be three 15-minute intervals of LED light treatment. Afterward, you will receive a gel to decrease sensitivity, a tube of home whitening solution for maintenance, and post-treatment instructions (see links below).
